Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg, and Nick Frost on THE WORLD’S END

August 23, 2013

Our man in Dallas, Adam Conway, caught up with director Edgar Wright and actors Simon Pegg and Nick Frost to talk about their new film THE WORLD’S END – the final film in their Cornetto Trilogy (aka the Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy). They talk about how the idea for the film came about, some movies that influenced it, as well as their favorite scene to film and some of the best movies they have seen this year.

Director Edgar Wright reunites with stars Simon Pegg and Nick Frost for the final installment in the uproarious Cornetto Trilogy (also known as the Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy), which began with Shaun of the Dead, an instant cult classic send up of zombie movie gore fests, and Hot Fuzz, a blood spattered spoof of American actions movies. Their latest is THE WORLD’S END, an apocalyptic comedy in which Gary (Pegg) reunites his buddies for a marathon pub crawl, until an alien invasion suddenly leaves the entire fate of mankind hanging in the balance.

THE WORLD’S END opens 8/23 at the Angelika Dallas.
